As Darkness Dies (formerly Graven Image) was started by Paul Coleman in 2011. After several line-up changes, the current defining line-up came together and took the CT metal scene by storm. The band's first self produced album, The Future Started Yesterday, nailed the Number 1 spot on the CT Reverb Nation Charts for over 18 months and reached as high as 16th in the Nation! On the strength of this album, the band forged its path opening for such legends as Anthrax, Testament, Death Angel, Queensryche , Fates Warning, Halcyon Way, Overkill, Prong and Obsession, who were kind enough to take the band outside of the USA. ADD consists of the incredible vocals of Martin O'Brien, formerly of Weapon X and Beyond Reality; the insane guitar work of Scott Williams, formerly of Agrippa 93; the pounding bass of Andrew Purchia who has worked with many bands including Cycle Sluts from Hell and Wretched Whore; Son of jazz legend Ed Blackwell, Harry Blackwell on percussion and Paul Coleman on guitars, the band blazed a trail of progressive metal that has its own unique style
